Overview

SolarPro’s preferred method of installation to reduce programme on site and hit key milestone dates

As the main EPC contractor, SolarPro required a fast and efficient foundation solution that would not be delayed due to inclement weather. A full design package was provided on completion of site testing plus the supply and installation of RADIX foundations and structural steelwork for HiTHIUM ESS Containers along with Kehua Tech PCS Units.

Consideration was also to be given to this being a live site. Health & Safety was paramount and employing RADIX Screw piles as their preferred solution ensured there were reduced traffic movements without the need to remove any spoils from site and minimising landfill impact.

Solution

80% reduction of time with installation of RADIX foundations over alternative methods

RADIX attended site late October 2024 to complete site survey and static load testing. All materials and test equipment were transported from our UK headquarters ahead of the RADIX team arriving on site. Site testing was completed withing 48hrs before returning to the UK to have the full design package completed.

On sign-off of design, production was completed in the UK of structural steelwork and transported to site along with RADIX Screw Piles. The team landed in Budapest early February 2025 and completed the entire installation of screw piles and steelwork within 4 days, allowing the client to install Battery and PCS units immediately.
