RADIX Expands UK Manufacturing Capabilities with New Phelix HF50 Helical Former

RADIX has announced a major investment in its UK manufacturing facility with the acquisition of the Phelix HF50 Helical Former machine, further advancing its in-house production of true form helical flights and engineered helical piles.
The new high-specification equipment marks a significant step in the company’s continued growth and innovation in sustainable foundation engineering. Designed to shape helical flights with precision and repeatability, the HF50 enables RADIX to form helices faster and more accurately than ever before, ensuring consistent quality across every pile produced.
Managing Director Callum Milne explained that this investment reflects RADIX’s belief in doing things right from the ground up, by investing in the tools that help support customers and build a net-zero future on sustainable foundations. He described the HF50 as “a bold step forward” in the company’s manufacturing capability and a clear statement of intent as RADIX continues to strengthen its role as a leader in screw pile foundation technology.
With the HF50 now fully operational, RADIX can produce precision-formed helical flights and offer complete fabricated piles, entirely in-house and at scale. This enhances the company’s ability to meet demand with tighter lead times, maintain rigorous quality control, and offer greater flexibility for both bespoke and high-volume orders. It also enables RADIX to supply helical flights directly to helical piling manufacturers and deliver bulk quantities nationwide from its UK-based manufacturing facility.
This latest investment also supports RADIX’s long-term strategy to expand its UK manufacturing capability while contributing to decarbonisation and supply chain resilience. Callum noted that “the HF50 gives us the ability to deliver smarter, stronger, and more engineered solutions,” adding that it is “not just about producing more, it’s about producing better, ensuring every helical pile foundation we install is built to last.”
By producing helical components locally, RADIX reduces transport emissions, supports British manufacturing, and delivers faster, more sustainable project outcomes for its clients.
