RADIX Continues Sponsorship of Sam Hickey Ahead of December Return

RADIX has confirmed it will continue its sponsorship of Dundee’s own Sam Hickey, backing the middleweight boxer as he continues to build momentum in the early stages of his professional career.
The partnership reflects a shared focus on commitment, discipline and long-term development, values that have been evident in Hickey’s performances from his early days to his unbeaten run as a professional.
Since turning professional, building on a Commonwealth Gold win for Scotland as an amateur, Sam has gone 3–0, opening his career with a composed points win over John Henry Mosquera, following it with a first-round stoppage of Lewis Howells, then outboxing Harley Hodgetts to a clear unanimous decision on a European title undercard.
That blend of composure, intelligence and finishing ability has marked him out as one to watch, and RADIX’s continued support comes as he prepares for his next step.
Talking about RADIX’s continuing sponsorship Sam said, “It’s great to be backed by a superb local business, it takes a lot of pressure off my shoulders, they have supported me from the start and without their support I wouldn’t be where I am. Looking forward to seeing myself and RADIX go from strength to strength.”
Sam returns to the ring this Saturday, 20 December, fighting Slovenian Aljaz Venko, as part of a major BBC-televised fight night at the First Direct Arena, headlined by Callum Simpson’s British, Commonwealth and European title defence against Troy Williamson.
With the full card broadcast live on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer, everyone at RADIX will be tuning in to watch Sam extend his unbeaten run on a big stage and close out the year with another statement performance.
