Meet the Team

Thomas Vernau – Content Creator

This month, we’re featuring Thomas Vernau, who plays a key role in bringing the RADIX story to life.

With a background in video production and visual storytelling, Thomas captures the people, projects, and innovation behind our work – turning real-world activity into engaging content that connects with our partners and clients.

His creative approach showcases not just what we do, but how and why we do it.

Fun fact: Thomas crashed the RADIX drone on his very first shoot after more than 300 hours of crash-free flying. Thankfully, nobody was hurt… apart from Tom’s pride.

PRODUCT • Helical Piles

High-Capacity Foundations for Demanding Infrastructure Projects

RADIX Helical Piles combine British engineering, in-house manufacturing, and global delivery capability to provide high-capacity foundation solutions for demanding infrastructure, energy, and structural projects, delivering precision-engineered performance where deeper load transfer, reduced vibration, and minimal site disturbance are critical.

We’ve invested in the HF50 Helical Forming machine, dramatically expanding our in-house manufacturing capabilities. This high-spec equipment allows us to produce precision-formed helical flights and fully fabricated helical piles in-house and at scale, with tight lead times and consistent quality.

PROJECT • RADIX EXT Screw Piles & Custom Steelwork

Turnkey Solution for 150 MW BESS Site

RADIX has completed one of its largest turnkey BESS foundation packages to date at a 150MW battery storage site in Warrington, delivering over 2,200 screw piles and 1.6km of custom steelwork across an accelerated eight-week programme.

Working for OCU Energy and SSE Renewables, the project combined challenging flood-prone ground conditions with high-volume installation and complex coordination, setting a new internal benchmark for large-scale energy infrastructure delivery.

Read the full case study to see how RADIX combined design, foundations and structural integration into a single accountable delivery package for one of the UK’s major BESS developments.

PROMOTION • Virtual Visit

Inside RADIX HQ

Our virtual tour provides a direct view of RADIX’s operational capability, from stockholding and logistics through to engineering support and training infrastructure.

For developers, EPCs and contractors working to fixed programmes, it offers a clear picture of how projects are supported in practice, not just specified.

PLANET • Sustainable Construction

Environmental & Sustainability Benefits of Screw Piles vs Concrete

Screw pile foundations offer a lower-carbon, lower-impact alternative to traditional concrete bases, helping reduce excavation, embodied carbon, site disruption and programme time while supporting more sustainable delivery across renewable energy, infrastructure and commercial construction projects.

Discover how RADIX screw pile foundations are helping developers, contractors and renewable energy projects reduce environmental impact without compromising on structural performance, speed or reliability.
